Atheists: If Dinosaurs predated humans, how do we know that they're called Dinosaurs?

Well, after scientists and the like figured out what the giant bones from long ago were, they came up with some Latin/Greek names for them...like dinosaur-- which means terrible, powerful, wonderful lizards. Sir Richard Owen coined the phrase Dinosauria in 1841. It comes from two Greek words-- deinos-- terrible wonderful, powerful-- and sauros-- lizard. [[ Hence it couldn't come from the Mesozoic era-- or where all the dinos existed-- as language and humans didn't exist then. ]] Brontosaurus means terrible lizard, by the way. And no, just because cultures mention dragons doesn't mean that man and dinos co-existed in the same time frame...don't even go there with a straight face. There is a 130 million or more time period between man and dinos. You are of course welcome to do your own research, it's very fascinating. Paleontologists, paleobotanists and so forth are finding out new things all the time.
