I'm much the same as you, except on abortion perhaps. I believe government should get out of marriage though, and leave it to the states, or pass a constitutional amendment defining marriage. Personally I think marriage should be defined as a union between consenting adults. That covers everything. Traditional marriage, interracial marriage, gay marriage, incest, polygamy. bigamy, etc. I also believe in freedom of association, no one should be compelled to recognize or provide services for any union. I think the only discrimination that should be prohibited is that of government; government should be required to treat every citizen alike, not giving special treatment to any one group.

I also strongly dislike the religious-right, and I think the Republican Party needs to buck them. Even fi they lose the next two or three elections. The religious-right is an authoritarian group - they favor big government to force their idea of morality upon the people. I believe the people should be free to make their own choices, so long as those choices do not violate the common law, or restrict/impede with another person's freedom.

I don't know if there is a group for fiscal conservative, social liberals.

Libertarians. They can be pretty much anything. Libertarian isn't a right-left ideology but a freedom v. authoritarian ideology. They could be anywhere from right-wing to left-wing, strongly free market or socialistic, regulated government or anarchy. You could call yourself Right-Libertarian.

You might also consider yourself an adherent of classical liberalism. This is another thing I believe in strongly. Classical liberalism is the support for limited government, civil rights, rule of law, private property, and generally belief in laissez-faire economic policies. For myself, the only thing I don't agree with completely is laissez-faire. I think that is more Harding/Coolidge, and it didn't work out so well. I believe more in Hoover/Eisenhower - capitalism regulated to prevent monopolies. I support free markets and free enterprise but I also support some government regulation.

I also consider myself strongly individualist. I believe that what someone earns, it is theirs. You don't take from one and give to another out of "fairness". Freedom is more precious than anything. You don't give up freedom for security - you'll end up with neither. You don't give up freedom for equality - you'll end up with neither.
