WHY Did This Happen On FaceBook?

I went on this morning and it said I had to log in because a "suspicious source tried to log into my account and it said they came from Montreal, and I don't have any friends or anything there...

And I said that wasn't me, so they made me change my password and I logged in. But then I don't know if it was the person who tried to hack me or just a forced ad or something, but my profile said I posted this "get a free iPad" advertisement on someone's wall. And it wasn't just Antone's wall it was on the guy I Luke's wall! This is so embarassing because it came with a really cheesy message too. -_- but how would someone from Montreal know?

it wasnt anyone you know, it was a spammer

somehow you login details were phished, possibly because of you having used a proxy site at one time (that is the most common way) or you clicked on something that lead you off facebook and it stole your cookie (be careful about clicking on things from facebook that lead you off the site)
