English essay help about social media and gender roles?
My argument is that social media has progressed into portraying both sexes as equals.
It's a little hard to argue, as I'm finding out that women are more sexualized than men in general. -What would be a good counterargument to this? -Any advices for my poisiton? By social media, I mean popular culture, mass media, advertising, etc. Ads |

i think that if you look at content and images - the counter argument will not be supported
you need a time frame you need to define what "progressed means" if you use participation - you may just scrape in with a counter argument that is statistically viable however - the availability of porn content in social media and the content of Qand A here says otherwise.... Ads |

When you refer to "social media", do you mean for example Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr?
Is that the kind of social media you mean to have equalised genders? Added: You might need to focus on a particular area of "equals". Pick an area of life and examine if you think mass media portrays equality in that narrow area of interest. An industry, academia, something. I do not know where you should focus.
