Shampoo for greasy hair?
My hair gets greasy after a day and looks gross. It's not because it's used to being washed a lot because I used to always wash it every other day but it still looked and felt disgusting. I used to shower nights but now I usually shower in the morning. On the day I don't wash my hair I feel self conscious that people are gonna be grossed out and also it doesn't feel good at all what shampoo will help me, especially with the roots? I can't use baby powder or dry shampoo because my hair is so dark that it shows.

If your hair is a warmer-toned brown, you could try using unsweetened cocoa powder as a dry shampoo.

Greasy hair is caused by build up of natural secretion from glands in the scalp. The best shampoo is the clear shampoo and a gentle shampoo which is marked for frequent washing. The shampoo lies in a body-building ingredient called panthenol which penetrates the hair cuticles making every strand thicker. You can also use dry shampoo or talcum powder in between washing.

I over washed my hair once and ended up with EXTREMELY greasy hair, I washed it with Sulfur8, it's a deep cleaning shampoo and it took all the greasy mess out, even the thick funky stuff. Might be worth a try. It comes in a clear bottle, looks like Dial liquid soap

I have this problem a lot, as well. I have very dark hair and it often becomes greasy the day after I wash it, or even later in the same day that it is washed. Although, I have started using Johnson & Johnson's Baby Shampoo to wash my hair. It's gentle, and doesn't have sulfates or parabens. I also use it for my makeup brushes, and it works wonders.

If you are able to afford a more expensive one, I can really recommend using Pureology Purifying Shampoo. I have this available at a local salon. All you do is wash with this shampoo for about 5 minutes in your shower, then follow with the rest of your washing routine. (You may wash with your regular shampoo afterwards, as well.) This product lasts AGES and I really love it. Doesn't leave residue or stickiness. http://www.amazon.com/Pureology-Safeguar...gy+shampoo Best of luck, and have fabulous hair! |
