Red facebook notifications?

I found a way to turn off email and text notifications from facebook... these are for facebook groups I am a part of that post stuff constantly and it gets so annoying. But is there a way to get rid of the red notifications at the top of the page whenever I sign in, but just for certain "groups". There's no point to them, and I can see when there's a new post on my newsfeed anyway, so can i turn of the red notifications just for a group? Thank you.

No you can't turn off your notifications until you use facebook. Pls don't update any status, don't upload any photos and don't mention to any of your friends then you won't get notifications. Good luck!
