I'm a great grandfather(age 69). As an elder I do the same thing. I want my privacy. PERIOD ! I'm not ever looking at anything I would not want someone else to see.As far as I'm concerned having someone look over your shoulder to see what you are looking at is just like reading someone's private mail. It's just plain RUDE.
Your feelings are natural. I think -no matter what anyone's age- we all want/need/deserve our privacy.

If someone stands behind me and attempts to stare over my shoulder I will usually turn and just stare at them, they seem to get the message without me having to spell it out.
