Is it okay to not go to high school parties?
I'm only a freshman in high school, but I'd probably never be invited to a party anyways. And even if I was I still wouldn't go as I do not enjoy parties. The thought of mingling with possibly drunk strangers is not appealing to me.

Course it is. It took me forty years to realise what mindless boring things these parties are.

Do what you love. Be with people who make you feel happy.
I am not a big social butterfly. I prefer to go out with very small groups of friends. I have never like the party scene. Did go to several parties as a teen and ended up babysitting my drunk friends. If it is not "your thing", then don't go.
BTW....I am now 40. The people that were super popular and partied all the time in my high school....are generally total losers now. I have caught up with most of them on Facebook. High School was their prime and it all went down hill from there for them. Smile

Seems to me you're crossing your bridges before you come to them. Wait, live, let time pass, make friends, wait for the first party, maybe you don't even have to BE invited but can just go anyway.

The people won't be strangers by then, and not all of them will be drunk. You're assuming FAR too much.
Nobody's making you sign a paper right now saying "I will / will not go to highschool parties", so why worry about it?
