How can I delete my facebook account forever?

Its possible, you have to browse help topics, there is difference between deactivate and delete. You have both options. if you choose to delete, they will give you couple of days to regret and come back. After that period you email is deleted from their system forever. Deactivation is just a temporary option.
I deleted my account using above method successfully.
