Why can't I attach files, pictures, documents to my emails?

I am operating on Windows 8 and haven't had problems until recently with trying to attach any pictures, documents, etc. to my emails. When I click on the 'file' that I want to attach, it appears to be trying to download, but the timer icon just keeps spinning and nothing happens. I have waited for a long period of time for the attachment to download, but it doesn't.

This is also a problem on my Facebook account. I can't download anything there either. Again... it appears to be trying to download, but nothing happens.

Hi Patch,

That sounds like a possible web browser issue since it's affecting multiple websites. Most web browser issues can be resolved using the troubleshooting steps in this help article:

You may also consider switching to a different free Web browser that may provide a better Internet experience for you:
