Is Facebook or Twitter safe for a 11 year old?

For someone who is that young, I would say Facebook is better. Since Twitter is more of a public tool.

You can set Facebook Privacy settings in such a way that whatever your kid might do it remains within his friends. I'm not sure if he can do it all by himself.

But certainly Facebook offers better features for private use. However whether someone that young can use it ... well 11 year old's have become computer hackers, Facebook should be a cakewalk

However make sure he understands the risks.
