As a waitress/waiter would you accept Facebook Friend Requests from Customers?

First of all, how the hell did he find you on FB? You gave him your last name when you introduced yourself? Kinda creepy. He sounds like he hasn't been laid in months. Like you said, unless there was actual potential. Obviously he doesn't just want to be your friend. All in all to answer your question with the variables you have given me, no.

Hell no. I'd let all your coworkers know that he requested you too. Just in case!!!!

I'm with TexHabs and InstantKarma.
I waitressed and hostessed for a long time. All before Facebook. I used to get a lot of business cards, especially as a cocktail waitress. Some were hot and there was chemistry, but I never gave them enough info for them to find me outside of work.
When I went out to bars with friends, I'd never go off with anyone until my friends met him first and no one got any heebie jeebies. If something happened to me, I'd at least get some posthumous justice.
I know it sounds paranoid, but I have seen creepy stuff happen to coworkers and friends after they hooked up with some guy they just met. Stalking, several times. Disappearance, twice.
Just be careful.

Nope.
Avoiding contact with customers is best.
My Laura gets chatted up no end [part time job as a waitress] she flirts with likely looking candidates and gets huge tips.
She only started in September and got the second highest amount in tips for the restaurant in 2013!
The owner gives a prize for the highest tipped waiter or waitress.
