Where can I buy La Pina Flour?
I am the fourth generation of family that has used La Pina flour for tortillas...My grandmother grew up using this flour, recently we have not been able to find this flour anywhere. As a result our tortillas just don't have the same delicious flavor that our family has passed on for generations. Please does anyone know where I can buy this flour?

Where were you buying it before?
I've gone to grocers and asked them to stock a certain product, and they've had NO problem ordering it for me. However, in some cases, a company may discontinue a product, ESPECIALLY if it's a competitor. In this case, General Mills bought out Sperry, which made La Piña, and then discontinued it. I hear you may still be able to get it at Wal-Mart, but there are a number of Facebook pages entitled "Bring back La Piña flour". To get the ñ for searching, hold down the ALT key, and type 0241 on the numeric keypad. Ads |

General Mills has discontinued making La Pina Flour.
The Sperry Flour Company which manufactured La Pina and Harina does not exist today as its own entity. It was later incorporated into General Mills, which has now become among the world's largest food companies. Here is a link to the FaceBook page dedicated to bringing back La Pina. https://www.facebook.com/LaPinaFlour?filter=2 |
