How to delete a facebook account?
So I have a new Facebook account and really want to delete my old one since it's sort of embarrassing. Anyway, can it be deleted? How? All answers appreciated and BQ for the one that works.

Go to account setting in the top right corner. And all the way at the bottom it says "deactivate account"

Here's how it works
*Go to the Delete Facebook Account page. *Click "Submit". Follow the instructions. *It's rumored that you will be able to change your mind for 2 weeks by just logging back into Facebook. *If you don't log back in after 2 weeks your account and all it's information will be deleted. Everything will be gone. |

Alright. You can deactivate your facebook account if you do not want your old account to be found. Go to your facebook page > Account > Account Settings > Deactivate Account.

Go to Account, then account settings... Down the bottom click Deactivate account. It will log you out. As soon as you login again, your account will reactivate and work again, so don't login... good luck!

Only way to deactivate your account by going with account settings and there you can find an option to deactivate the account. It is better to deactivate your account after deleting all the files, messages, images, videos from the facebook account.
