'Poking' on fb is just like giving somebody a nudge.
Or just like saying 'hey!' So if someone has 'poked' then you should greet him by 'poking' him back. Then it goes on it's like you give a person a nudge and he nudges you back. Have fun poking! |

It is a playful gesture as if you were poked in real life. "hey how are ya?" or "look at me"

A "virtual" poke to someone. Could be a way to let them know you're there, to annoy them,... Mostly just starts never ending wars in my situation

Its something you do when you want to communicate with someone but you really don't have anything to say.
If you poke someone then s/he will get notification to poke you back. |
