Facebook or OpenSocial?

For a web 2.0 company I'm working for I need to recommend a social network platform to create an application for. There is Facebook and OpenSocial. For which platform would you develop an app first? What are the key factors? We are a Swiss-based startup with a strong market share in Switzerland and Germany.

I've never used OpenSocial, but I assume it's better because Google made it and it's more open.

That said, I would suggest Facebook because I use it.
