Why does it seem that most people don't care about animals?
I am an animal lover. I post stuff about animals on my Facebook page once in a while and no one ever replies to these posts. They show no interest whatsover about animals. I just posted a beautiful tribute to a Lion that was rescued in Africa. You would think people would respond as quickly as if someone posted something about a favorite celebrity or something. But do they? Nope.

If someone posted about an animal being rescued I for sure would show interest in in and happiness also.

What is the deal with people? Am I the only one that loves animals or what?

unfortunately most people don't care, but saying that the recent badger cull in the UK has been temporarily halted because over 100,000 people signed the epetition and a lot of people do support various animal charities.

I suppose the amount of animal cruelty is overwhelming and you reach compassion fatigue.

As it happens, we all have our different areas of interest. That people don't seem to care much about what you do doesn't mean that people don't care about animals. Personally, I care a great deal about animals (especially the ones that are really yummy), but for the most part, I'm less enthusiastic about people. We are who we are. Also, while I wouldn't want to discourage you from posting up happy stuff on Facebook, you might want to also look into working with groups who try to reduce habitat destruction and environmental degradation, which would be a larger and more direct benefit to animals. Plus you could post pictures of group activities up on FB, so everybody wins!
