How to play(stream) online videos directly on vlc(or any other media player)?
I want to watch online tv shows and movies without downloadind them. I found several sites for that but none of them have subtitles.So i want to stream them on vlc and add subtitles externally. Is there any way out?
Jim, i think u misunderstood my question. I just want t stream online videos on vlc(without downloading) so that later i can add subtitles to it Ads |

If you have the correct subtitle file, press CTRL-N when running VLC. You then type in the address of the video file. You may have to enable the display of subtitles each time you watch a movie. This is done through the Video dropdown menu, Subtitle Track option.
NOTE: Just because you have a subtitle file with the same name as the video does NOT mean it's the correct subtitle file. The timing can be off by a large margin - I've seen errors of several minutes. That is, you see the subtitle of what was said several minutes ago, or what will be said several minutes from now. Ads |

Rishabh you cannot add subtitles LATER by streaming. It is the same as live tv and you also do not have access to the file to add to in a stream.
What you want to do is only possible with downloads which of course are illegal. |
