How can I stop advertising column on r/h side of my yahoo page, which cuts off part of the page I am viewing?

Unwanted ads column obliterates part of the page, making requested pages impossible to read.

Switch to a browser (eg Firefox) that has the ability to suppress the adverts = in the case of Firefox, that's the 'AbBlock Plus' plug-in ..
