Please Help I don't know what to do?

On my mac book when I use Safari, it keeps telling me "Safari can't connect to server"

The internet is working at my house it works on the other PC's . The Homepage will open, but then I can't go anywhere else without getting Safari can't connect to server.

I really need my mac, this has been going on for 2 weeks already

I have tried everything and it is updated

Are there any other suggestions, or do I need to go buy a new one
Is it possible Safari somehow got corrupted. I added Maverick back in October. I tried reinstalling but it couldn't do it because Safari is not connect to Server.

And I have internet service
I have never had this problem before.

It is probably going up against a firewall on the server you are trying to connect to. It also could be that their server doesn't accept communication from that particular browser. Try using another browser to see if it helps. Opera, Internet Explorer, or Google Chrome.. You can load more than one browser onto your computer to use as a backup. Of course it will have to be the ones that MacBook manufacturers recommend.
