Republicans are pretty much extinct.

All of the media is controlled by the Democrats except for Rush limbaugh, foxnews, and the Drudge report.

The only 98% of the media is all Democrat. Also Republicans are being outnumbered by new immigrants. Democrats are going to kill all the small businesses with taxes and Obamacare, while helping the HUGE businesses and the HUGE government.

When the country is 90% Democrat and everyone is on public assistance, is the country going to resemble a Giant Detroit?

Maybe you should redo your research.
29 states have Republican Governors
24 states voted for Mitt Romney.

It's difficult to know since the media wants us to believe that 40% of the population is independent, what percentage is Republican, Democrat, or Independent. 40% may say they are indie during a poll; 40% don't show that in their voting.

But your premise that Democrats greatly outnumber Republicans is simply false.
If California changes their electoral voting to a percentage of votes vs the current process of winner take all, can a democrat even be elected president? It's an initiative on the upcoming ballot.
- Just so you know, if that law was passed 4 years ago, there would be a Republican in the white house today. California's winner take all gave Obama 55 votes; if it was based on popular vote in CA, Obama would have had 206 electoral votes and Romney would be the US President with 236.

Note: obviously not a travel question...

Detroit was ruined by Republicans who didn't care about their employees when they took their jobs away. Republicans were the first to depopulate Detroit because they didn't care anymore. A declining, abandoned city was given to the remaining people, Democrats, who inherited a place with no economic foundation.

Republicans are notoriously bad at economics. They seem quite happy destroying all of America from within.

Only if the country emulates Detroit's population mix.

Or maybe it will resemble a giant San Francisco? You cant point to the failures of one liberal city, and ignore the success of another.

You're an idiot if you can't see that Detroit's problems were caused by the loss of manufacturing jobs and the lack of a diverse economy, not leadership. If America as a whole ever resembles Detroit, it will be because greedy corporations keep outsourcing every job they can, while the rest of us just look on an do nothing.

Are you really trying to tell me that multi-billion dollar media corporations like Viacom and CBS grew that large because they're promoting social causes, not chasing the almighty dollar?

That's just another right wing lie. Companies with under 50 employees are exempt from Obamacare, nor have federal taxes gone up.

It's unlikely the country will ever be 90% Democrat. U.S. politics have never been dominated by a single party, nor is it likely that it ever will. Either the Republican party will evolve, or they will go the way of the Whigs and Federalists and another party will rise as the Democrats main competition.
