why are there ads all over my internet browser and why do ad windows keep popping up??? HELP!!!?
It started after I downloaded a video from a free site(awful idea, I know, and I wont do it again but I need to know how to get this off!!

1. Scan your computer. suggestions are avast free, malwarebytes free, and superantispyware free. remove anything if they find anything.
2. If you are using google chrome, you can add an "ad block" extension to remove ads when you surf the internet.

You probably downloaded adware. Go into your toolbars/add-ons and disable any suspicious looking ones. Then download Microsoft Security Essentials and scan your computer to detect any viruses and remove them.

Download Malwarebytes and scan your system. Use AdBlock on your browser. Stay away from malicious links.

I use malaware bytes also. I run it often, it's great and it's FREE! Just be sure when you do a complete scan that you "see results" make sure all the threats are checked and "remove" them. (My mom kept running this scan and just closed it after running the scan, it's easy to miss that you have to delete them)
