Why do websites do this?
Okay when you sign up they say, "COMPLETELY FREE!" and then when you start using it, it says, "Become a member/VIP/Premium account for only $5.99 a month!" Why do they do this?

I always thought that they stated "COMPLETELY FREE" as a way of attracting people to there website, and then bombarding searchers with member accounts that cost money.

They want to make money....so they may have a free version....but in order to use all the features, you have to pay for the premium version

To lure you in. If they were forced to be honest, they wouldn't have so many customers.

It is like shop signs that say `SALE 50% off`, they want to attract your attention. The question is how do they make money if it is 50% off?
So website do something similar to attract customers. |
