Is there a reason why Need for Speed World keep downloading so much files?

I downloaded the need for speed world game, then I login in to play. How come when I just login in, it is downloading 1.05 GB on to my computer? This is not the fist time it happened.

First thing I would do is check to see if your game files are in any way being corrupted. OR if this is just additional patch and DLC content being downloaded before it is unlocked. Recently a lot of games have started to download content that you have not accessed yet as a way pre-load it when it is bought.
