Having a migraine, just realizing I had nowhere to be since being laid off, that fact that I missed my job. Nothing was derogatory in anyway. One of the other employees made a couple of comments simply offering her support, stating they missed me, asked if I knew when I would be back, hoped I was feeling better, stuff of that nature. The other day I received a call from our corporate office, telling me "just between you and me' that if I had any personal.stuff going to my company email that I should probably change it. I told her the only thing that went there, because when my boss set up my Facebook account digest used my company email, was any notifications of any posts to my wall on Facebook but that I would change it. Big mistake,.because not only did my boss access my email account, they fired the employee who sent me the messages. I did try to access my email account yesterday and my password has been changed. I was able to access it up until the so called.heads up I received from corporate. My question is, is this legal or considered an invasion of privacy?

Anything you write using a company account is subject to their inspection and rules. All legal, no invasion of privacy involved.
More and more companies are tracking what their employees do in email and on the Web, so a word to the wise. Watch what you post and where, especially if it involves a company account or their equipment.
