Need help using Tor browser?
I'm trying to set up Tor on my computer. I've never done this before. I downloaded the Tor browser bundle, and I started Vidalia, but I can't seem to get a browser window. The Vidalia control panel says that Tor is running, but I'm not sure how to use it to access the web. I'm using Windows 7, and my regular web browser is Mozilla Firefox, if it matters. If it says Tor is running, does that mean if I use Firefox that I'm fully anonymous? All the instructions I found online say that when Tor starts, it will automatically open a browser, but that doesn't happen. I can't find any browser in the Tor browser bundle. I'm new to this, so I'm not sure how to proceed. Please only answer if you actually know what you're talking about.

Tor uses Firefox, but it uses it's own version not your browser on the computer,

When you download and install it, it should launch the Tor modded Firefox client (again, not your own one) and say "welcome to Tor, blah blah blah" if that is not happening then something has not installed correctly or perhaps your security is blocking it.

The regular Firefox Client will not work through Tor.
