Can i call Paypal to release my funds?
Hey quick question, I sold an item off eBay and paypal has decided to keep the money until february 19th. I already shipped it and it has been delivered to the house since monday the 10th. So my question is, can i just call them show them proof that its been delivered since monday with the tracking and get my money? I dont want to wait and i know that it is for new sellers but i have already sold 3 items before this one.

I had a similar problem with the first payment to my new US account. I called up support saying I didn't want to wait 20 days and had all the information they needed (social security etc). They verified me and cleared the funds within a minute.
Good luck! Ads |

They will still make you wait until the 19th. Calling them about this issue will not help. Sorry.

Hello, PayPal keeps your received payments from buyers especially if you're a beginner seller to only protect the customer against fraud. When the buyer receives their item (tracking shows as delivered) or leaves feedback, usually their payment is automatically released into your account.
Go ahead and call Paypal and ask them to released your payments on the items marked as delivered. I remember going through this when I started selling on eBay in 2009. I had a $500 limit (the amount that I could withdraw in a month) and all my incoming payments were held. Upon calling Paypal's customer support, they denied releasing the payments early and told me to wait until the scheduled day, they also told me that as I become a more established seller (which earns their trust), I'd be able to receive my payments immediately and withdraw them to my bank account. Anyways, this is a step that all beginning sellers have to go through. I understand that you'd have to pay shipping costs out of pocket firsthand but it just takes so long to receive the money. Hope this helps and good luck |
