Need help with my router !! :(?

i recently bought a nee router and the main reason for that was to play online on faster connection, anyway everytime i play call of duty ghost or AC4 my nat type says moderate insted of open ? how does 1 change it ?? ive looked up tuts but ikno nothing of the router settings PLZ HELLLP
