How do I view user uploaded photos on google maps?

I have searched all over for this! I used to be able to drag the little peg man and see blue dots all over the grand canyon. If I dragged him to one it would show the picture full size. Now , it only shows roads and the river in blue. What happened to these blue dots indicating user photo uploads? I am not talking about the photo option that shows the pictures all over the map that hide the map features.

It is not necessary that just uploading a pic got popular on Google. Your pic must be promote through various Social media sites first, then only you would be able to see it.
