Can someone please explain to me what # means?
I've seen people use the hashtag (is that what it's called?) on facebook, and I understand it has something to do with twitter, but I don't get it...
Why do people randomly use it on facebook? What does it mean? Ads |

PEOPLE WHO USE IT ON FACEBOOK ARE RETARDED. The # (hashtag) is used on twitter which makes the word(s) that you put after the hash viewable to the world which is how things start trending on twitter, if enough people say one thing it will show up on the trending section. It does absoloutely nothing on facebook and just makes you look like a complete loser.

It is a symbol to address the people with whom they are responding to. It will become widespread so get used to it.
