I accidentally clicked on a random ad?
It was some stupid ad telling me I need to download something, I exited out of it lightning fast before ANYTHING could load, like, the second the tab popped up I hit the x button, and I checked my history and there was nothing in my history at the point I clicked on it.
I'm currently running a virus scan.
I'm also currently running Windows 7, could I have a virus?

Just clicking on an ad usually does not give you viruses as it will usually lead to something for you to download or give information to. If yo uwant to avoid viruses always make sure you have up to date adobe flash, javascript and other plugins that websites use. Also update your browser. If you use firefox download the addon adblocker it helps a ton with ads.

Chances are no, but it is better to be safe than sorry. I would suggest using malwarebytes, which is free https://www.malwarebytes.org/downloads/. I highly recommend it as it will more than likely find something which would be lurking, whether it is a result of you clicking this ad or not.

Think you are fine.

That happened to me, but I really downloaded it and had numerous problems. If you see no change, you are fine. If something changes, don't panic, as there are ways to defeat it. It probably wouldn't be a virus but a program that uses cookies to deliver ads tailored to your search history. So, don't worry needlessly.
