Won't let me ask on Tumblr?

I've seen other asks for where people can't open their own asks, but this is different. When I go onto other people's blogs and go to their ask box, after writing my message the ask button that sends it is still "unpressable." On some people's blog, I can't see the blue button at all. Does anyone know what the problem might be?
I've also installed XKit for tumblr on my account... could this be the problem??

I think it might, but it won't even let me send ONE ask, so there's no way I've hit ask limit...

Does Tumblr still have a daily limit on asks? I know they used to, and I'm sure that hasn't changed lately.

Huh, the only other thing I can think of is if you've been blocked by the accounts somehow? A blocked person can see other people's Tumblr directly (but not on their dashboard) and cannot contact the people through asks or submissions. If that's not the case it might be worth it to contact Tumblr's help desk. Go to the help page, type in 'asks' in the box, scroll down to the very bottom, hit the button that says 'contact support.'
