Internet explorer 8 did not do anything. Altho it is extremely outdated and I would recommend using windows update to update it to a newer version.

Anyway, I do not know what you're talking about. Which e-mail do you use? Hotmail? Gmail? Yahoo?

Anyway, the above named (I use all of those) have all changed their e-mail interfaces. It is not your browser but was their decision. They have 'updated' them and in their own minds made it better. In my mind however, the new interfaces are ugly and terribly hard to use.
