The real reason why Swedish House Mafia broke up..?
This is a question that has been on my mind for a long time and i watched a clip with Sebastian Ingrosso for the Swedish House Mafia documentary film...and he said they split after realizing they weren't best friends anymore (Clip 13). I hope you dont feel as is i'm deeply looking into things and im overthinking etc but i religiously follow progressive and electro house. Swedish House Mafia's music was fairly mainstream but it also kept the listeners that support the underdogs interested in them still, like the best of both worlds. This said, house music is a fairly underrated genre, it's breaking out but slowly and Swedish House Mafia were incredibly successful in breaking out but honestly, in a genre where there is very few well known names, who walks away from success.. It's a brand they supported when they first gave this 'reason.' That one line really annoys me because it doesn't make sense what so ever and it's probably the biggest lie going in house music right after Danny Avila producing his own music. I'm not saying Axwell, Seb and Steve are bad producers because individually and together they're great but the music they make, which i love, really isn't relevant now... It's 2014 and the only thing that's important in house music is the cancerous side of electro house 'big room.' I'm sure at the time they were all aware where house music was heading and their style of classic house is appreciated by very few, I'm sure even they would have seen this from a mile away as they're very high up within the scene...So when their music as a group is played worldwide at it's peak...I believe dont you worry child was on number for quite a few weeks and the dance chart number one for about 6/7 weeks which is incredible...they choose to one day just to quit and call it a day just to support themselves and record labels, which are fairly underrated if im honest, making themselves relevant would be a near impossible task...not unless they suddenly were 10years younger and changed their entire sounds in the opposite direction..if you think im wrong then take a look at producers like Tiesto and David Guetta, Tiesto is producing music that is far from the sound he started with and David Guetta's last release 'Shot Me Down' was different from the typical Dance Pop we get when he chooses to collabo with whatever bubblegum singer is at number one on itunes and it has worked for them.. So that being said does anyone still believe they broke up because they wanted to work on themselves as individual artists...i think not

It's at the back of my head, i love him and his music very much but it's Steve..it has to be. I follow them on all the social networks im subscribed to, facebook, twitter, instagram etc... Seb and Axwell are together constantly, they communicate publicly all the time. Seb has the occasional forced chat with Steve on twitter but there has been a few times where he's ignored Steve completely and as for Steve with Axwell, i think they follow eachother still to support the lie that they're all good/best friends but really i think that's where the problem is...Seb was in the middle and chose to side with Axwell... personal opinion but that's where i think it all went wrong because i doubt Seb would just walk away from Steve like that since they were the best of friends from a very young age..I think that is a real and more believable story than...we got bored of doing so many shows and the pressure...which clearly is a massive lie since Seb and Axwell formed departures about a month later after their final show at ultra..no music has come from 'Depatures' as it's just a dj gig but they have already collabo'd since and Steve is no where within the picture...I don't know. It's just odd to see Seb have the rare conversation with Steve but Steve and Axwell act like complete strangers...

I hope im not coming across as keen or looking into things too much but i want to hear your thoughts on this and what you think the real reason is...because it doesn't seem like the documenttary film will give us answers but only more questions...

Musical direction and differences between group members are the most common reason for breakups.
