How was this website made?
I am wanting to create website somewhat similar to this http://getrevising.co.uk/ well the basic layout etc . However im struggling to decide weather it was designed using something like WordPress/Dreamweaver or just coded in notepad ++ .If it was designed using software what is the most likely one used ? As i would preferably not spend many hours coding(haven't properly started learning yet ) when i can get a similar result using some sort of software . I am willing to learn and code a website but if there's more efficient way im all ears .

Dreamweaver. It's pretty easy to use for basic through to lower advanced even with no knowledge of coding!

Looks like it was developed by a professional Web Dev firm (http://www.cuttlefish.com).
Professionals generally don't use packages like Dreamweaver. They code from scratch. |

The meta generator code mentions: Cuttlefish CMS: http://cuttlefish.com
There is a big difference between Wordpress and Dreamweaver, Wordpress is the industry standard blog platform wit many free and paid themes and plugin extensions available, it's a CMS meaning you can assemble a site without programming. About 17% of the top 1 million sites on the internet are Wordpress based. That example site does have some tricky java scripting as part of it's engine that would be beyond some dreamweaver beginner. |
