Why can't i make youtube username?

Hi. I was trying to make a cool username but there's no option for it. I only have my google+ name. And I tried making that URL thing but then, there is no option for username. Please help me, I really need to create a username!!!

Create a new channel.

1. go to youtube
2. click at top right corner where it says your name.
3. There is a blue button saying "Switch Accounts". click here.
4. Now, it shows 1 channel, which is your google+. Click on the left button below it saying "All my channels".
5. It now gives you the option to create a new channel saying above all choices.
