Do you have to have Google Chrome in order to use SKYPE ?
While I was downloading SKYPE the Google Chrome also got downloaded ? If I remove Google Chrome can I still use SKYPE ?

Google Chrome is not necessary.
It's just one of those agreements companies make with each other to scratch each other's backs. It's like there's this anti-virus company I know of that, unless you very expressly tell it NOT to, will install a Yahoo Search Bar on your browser. Same thing. Google made some kind of agreement with Skype, and they're probably doing something for Skype in exchange. |

Skype works fine with out Google Chrome. But Chrome is ok too.
