If she likes me why does she take so long to reply?

There is this stranger we live in different states. I added her on Facebook randomly. After liking a few of her pics she inboxed me and we hit it off. She is asking me lots of questions about myself and there was a bit of flirting going on. She said she wants to get to know me better and that I intrigue her. However she did mention she's not co-dependant like her friends. I respond to her and it remains unseen and unreplied to until days later. I know she is busy. Should I just not bother? Should I take just as long to reply?

I wouldn't take it too personally at the moment, especially as she's the one who started the conversation. Some people can just take a while when it comes to fb messages. Personally it can take me days to reply to one because I don't go on facebook very often, it's got nothing to do with how I feel about the person I'm messaging. My advice would be to just see how things go, if she didn't want to talk to you she wouldn't bother replying at all and just reply at your own pace.
