USPS never sent my package from the USA to Greece, according to tracking info! What can I do?

I recently purchased an object on Ebay. It was estimated to arrive from the USA to Greece approximately from 10 to 30 November. Today, when I tried to track the package through the USPS tracking page, I received the error notice "Undeliverable as Addressed". Then, I tried another tracking site and it essentially said that it never left the USA. It seems as if they tried in 15 November to deliver it to the same state of the US, not to Greece. Is there anything I can do? I have already contacted the seller, but why hasn't he tried to contact me if the package was returned to him?

The only way is to contact the seller and enquire. If any trouble arises and you would have troubles communicated with potential scammer, then rise a case on ebay. This way you might not be able to get the goods you've paid for, but theres a great chance of getting your money back.

File an item not received complaint through Ebay and let it get taken care of that way.
