Why is my Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Adapter's Internet Connection conflicting with my normal Internet connection?
I'm getting really frustrated over this, and I want to know if anyone out there has been experiencing the same problem I have been experiencing...
Whenever I try to install (or reinstall) my Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector, it sets up a Local Area Connection with limited connectivity, and I cannot connect to the Internet through any browser or through the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector. I have to uninstall it in order for my normal Internet connection to work... Can anyone help me? If you need more information, I'll give it to anyone that needs it to help me out. Note: I have a 2Wire 1701HG Gateway, but I cannot connect to that. (If anyone can help me connect to my 2Wire 1701HG Gateway, I'd greatly appreciate it. If I can do that, I can get rid of my USB Connector and never worry about using it again. ) Last diagnostic run time: 12/27/07 09:14:23 Network Adapter Diagnostic Network location detection info Using home Internet connection Network adapter identification info Network connection: Name=Local Area Connection, Device=Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC, MediaType=LAN, SubMediaType=LAN info Network connection: Name=Local Area Connection 4, Device=Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector, MediaType=LAN, SubMediaType=LAN info Network connection: Name=1394 Connection, Device=1394 Net Adapter, MediaType=LAN, SubMediaType=1394 warn This machine has more than one Ethernet or more than one Wireless adapter info Redirecting user to support call HTTP, HTTPS, FTP Diagnostic HTTP, HTTPS, FTP connectivity warn HTTP: Error 12007 connecting to http://www.microsoft.com: The server name or address could not be resolved warn HTTPS: Error 12007 connecting to http://www.microsoft.com: The server name or address could not be resolved warn FTP (Passive): Error 12007 connecting to http://ftp.microsoft.com: The server name or address could not be resolved warn HTTP: Error 12007 connecting to http://www.hotmail.com: The server name or address could not be resolved warn HTTPS: Error 12007 connecting to http://www.passport.net: The server name or address could not be resolved warn FTP (Active): Error 12007 connecting to http://ftp.microsoft.com: The server name or address could not be resolved error Could not make an HTTP connection. error Could not make an HTTPS connection. error Could not make an FTP connection. Try disabling Internet connection sharing on the advanced tab of the shared connection hitting OK then enable it. This is after you have it installed and your browser isn't working. If the windows firewall is on make sure the wi fi adapter is allowed. Worked for me after Nintendo told me it wouldn't work and to take it back. Been flawless since.
