http://www.everydayactors.com/ is a website that claims it can help you find small to big work acting whether an extra, commercials, TV, voice actor etc, it states that you must pay $20 a year for hosting and marketing your online profile for people who are hiring.

If anyone has ever used this site, I'd also like to know your experience.

It's legit in that you pay them money and they let you put you in their database. Whether or not it's going to help you in your career is another question all together. Who do you think uses this database? Do you really think casting directors of major projects need to go search databases for new faces like they don't know enough actors or get enough submissions on their own? Exactly what "marketing" do they do? Are they sending out e-mail to casting directors that don't make it past the CD's spam filter?

So, say you're a casting director and your reputation (and future jobs) depend on you getting good actors in for an audition. Are you really going to go search a $20 a year database that literally anyone can post something in to look for a main actor as opposed to contacting local talent agents or actors that you know personally? I suppose if you're casting for extras you might check here - but you could also just post something on any social media and get a ton of submission to do it too.

How about if you're looking to make some bucks off some wannabe actor? Here's a great database of wannabe actors looking to be "discovered" - ripe pickings. Offer them an audition and for a small deposit they can get a script or maybe you can suggest a photographer that it'll give you a kickback if you can get an actor to use them.

There are a ton of actor databases out there - how is this one used and by who is what you need to figure out.
