You could begin writing original articles to add to an information section of the site (I am assuming it's a store) useful content containing lot of words feds the search engine spiders, helping you get search engine traction and may attract information seekers to within one click of the store.

Store site using the same standard catalog images and text that appears n hundreds of other site can have a real tough time getting search engine ranking, adding original text, even just introductory paragraphs to categories can help search ranking.

have some good seo's, get on social media like crazy. And have some good content. Oh and use wordpress, I heard they have some great plugins for online stores.
