How can I communicate with my crush?

So i've liked this guy for 2 years and i've only known him 4 years. We were friends, but not best friends in 3rd grade and throughout the years we've grown apart. The only difference we practically have is that he's more popular than me, while I'm shy, quiet, and kind of nerdy. I started liking him when I had a dream about him that made me smile and start crushing on him.

Anyway, now that we're in middle school, it's almost impossible to reach him. First, he has a girlfriend; second, he has too many friends to be left alone; third, in my middle school the students are separated into sides, where we have different classes and teachers and we're in different pods. The only time I can only see him is at lunch and in the morning but of course his friends and girlfriend are in the way. I walk by his group of friends everyday and I look down with a sad look on my face knowing it's almost impossible to communicate with him. Luckily I know this kik because he put it up on his instagram. I've messaged him a total of (1) times to greet him because we haven't talked in forever. He occasionally greets me from time to time in person. I would talk to him on kik, but I'm extremely shy. Plus, it sounded like he kind of didn't want to talk to me when I messaged him on kik. I need another way to communicate with him. Thanks in advance. (:

You should text him on kik! I was once in the same position as you and the only thing I could do was text him. When you start texting him you should be cool about it and try no to text a million messages at a time and try not to reply as soon as he sends the message. If you start talking to him he will probably start texting you regularly and maybe soon enough you could have the courage to tell him how you feel! If he is kind of popular you shouldn't tell him how you feel in person or I'm a note because this could end good but bad.
If I were you I would start texting him in kik and starting with hey it's _______. Then after you guys start talking you could ask him for his real number!
