Internet Options Failure on the Control Panel and...?
....has something go wrong.

Some time ago when we first experienced the Purple Plague IE7 slowed down drastically and followed advice I switched to Google Chrome
Since that time I haven't been been able to get past clicking Internet Option to clear my cache etc

What can I do to remedy this problem and as I am slow on this a step by step breakdown would be grand

As I understand your Q, you'r using the Chrome browser and want to clear its cache via Internet Option and that's not responding.

I've never used Chrome. I've always been in IE 10 cept when my pc auto-installed 11, and I uninstalled it and 10 reappeared.

I've been using IE 10 in Compatibility view [choose CV from the Tools list. Tools button is btwn Favorites & Help in the Menu bar in IE] and have not been afflicted w/ the Purple Plague.

So you may wana d/L IE 10; and 11 might work using CV, in not getting the Purple Plague.

I would suggest you resume IE-7 and try it to go to Internet options and then if that fails then do as the above suggests and upgrade Internet explorer, that is about 7 years old now

I suggest you put a few hours aside because it may take hours to install
