why cant i connect to xbox live?
so for some reason every time i start up my xbox and get in to my account a message pops up saying that i have been disconnected from xbox live and then after that something else will come up telling me to test my connection so i click yes and ever time i click yes it logs out of my xbox live account to test the internet after it does the test it reconnects to the internet and the second i log back in my account the same thing happens all over again i dont know what to do please help
also when i log into my account and go to the setting in wont let me get into my privacy of my account settings Ads |

I've encountered this same problem. It usually happens when I'm steaming movies (Netflix, Vudu, etc). We have so many devices connected to our network, I think we were hitting peak levels on our modem/router. Sometimes I would just have to run the xbox network test and sign back in to xbox live. Other times I would have to reset my modem and router first.
It turns out my problem was being caused by my Comcast modem. When I called Comcast, they made some joke about my modem being an antique. They said the modem (their equipment) wasn't coming close to the Internet speed we're paying for (great, thanks for letting us know Comcast). Anyway, I replaced the modem with a new one from Comcast and I no longer (or at least very rarely) encounter this issue. I can definitely feel your frustration. Ads |
