I want to buy a .com address already owned by someone else, how do I do this?
The web domain is not currently in use and when I visit the web address there is no active website, it seems like someone has just bought it for the purpose of re-sale and I have the details of the person who bought it from WHOIS and they are based overseas in China.
How do I go about buying the domain? what would be the typical process involved? If a price is agreed how do I exchange on the web address? many thanks in advance kind regards Sid Ads |

Usually there is a link to the service selling the domain in all domain broker sites.
Try looking up the domain here : http://www.sedo.com/ Try to use the mechanisms of reputable broker sites when bidding and / or paying. Do not give your credit card details directly to the seller or transfer any money outside the broker systems. Ads |

Ask the owner if he is willing to sell his domain and on what price. Or if you are willing to wait, you can backorder the domain name.

1 - Check if its for sale here http://www.sedo.com
2 - Search for the owner of the domain here http://whois.net/ You can email them direct and ask if they want to sell. 3 - You can back order it so if it ever becomes available you can get it but this almost never happens because things often auto renew or the hosting company will hold it for a year even after it expires. |
