Where to post services as a freelancer?
A few months ago I started working for my aunt as a virtual assistant, managing her Facebook, Twitte,r newsletters, etc etc. I want ot branch out and gain more clients so I can have a solid income, but I'm having problems advertising myself. i tried using elance.com, but the way their system works it's not so much advertising as it is "Here's my profile." Any suggestions on where else I can look?

Other people here have posted a few good ideas but I can suggest another websites, if you know about SEO you can offer your services on seoclerks but if you know to make other things such as video, animation, etc. You should check listingdock, these both sites are really good and I think you will make a good cash if you promote your services in the correct way.
