I just downloaded Google chrome a week ago. and I've been wondering..
when someone emails me or sends me a link on a website, and i click it, it opens the link in Internet explorer which is my default web browser i had before Google chrome. is there a way i can set Google chrome up so when i click a link it opens to Google chrome and not internet explorer? Ads |

Hello!
If you're using Vista or Windows 7, then you right click the shortcut, select properties, and click the Shortcuts tab. Then you go to advanced settings, and check 'Run As Administrator.' This should set Google Chrome as your default browser. Hope I helped! :] |

Yes. If you open Chrome, it should ask you if you'd like to make it your default browser. If Windows changed that (happens) you can go to (On Windows Vista and 7) Start Menu>Default Programs -> Set Program Access and Computer Defaults -> Custom (click custom to expand the choices). You should see a choice for Internet Browser, where you can set Chrome as the default.
