networking computers with shared internet connection opinion?
I want to network 20 computers together and share an internet connection.

1. Should users network computers to share internet connections?
2. Should ISP’s limit the number or types of PC’s on a network?
3. Are there any security problems for networked PC’s sharing an internet connection? (compared to networks not connected to the internet….compared to using 3rd party routers to network PC’s together before internet connection

1. Only the computer that enables ICS which also acts as a router should share the connection
2. ISP will not limit how many computer connects to it, but the more computers share internet connection, the slower internet speed
3. There's no different for security between ICS and use router, because in ICS computer, you can put antivirus, firewall and so on, just only the the ICS computer must always be online so other computers can use internet and the burden will be heavier since now this computer also acts as a router

1. Networkworking boost productivity, saves money on shared internet connection, so yes, absolutely

2. ISP's can't limit the number or type of PC's on a network, only the available IP addresses, upload speed, and download speed. They can also block certain types of network traffic. The number of computer on the network is virtually unlimited due to private IPs or NAT.

3. Yes, internal and external threats. DoS attacks, viruses and trojan horses, social engineering, etc., etc.
