My problem lasted for 9 months, my Internet connection was intermittent. 8 modems, countless tech support calls, numerous techs coming to the house with their test equipment, changing connectors & splitters and always with the same result. Everyone of them including supervisors from Level 3 said the problem is fixed. Plain BullShit, an hour or two later the Internet went down but the TV was always good. Finally after 9 months one of the techs put in a work order for a new line be installed. Bingo, it was fixed. The wire was fine for TV but too old [20 years] not good enough for the 'Net. I asked for credit and they gave me a credit for 1 month. You must call them everyday and tell them you're not going through the BS of disconnecting everything for 5 minutes and all that crap. All they do is read from a script. You can call 10 times and 10 times you will get the same script. Ask for the next level or a supervisor and keep going up the pressure.
